Screw that! There are way too many implications that there’s deeper, more complex feelings involved with Chris and Jill - blatantly put in by the developers, by the way - that someone not involved with the build up of that relationship can just brush aside. It may not have been their intention, but over the course of the games it sure seems like there’s something more to that relationship. They should be proud of the ambiguous relationship they managed to cook up for the two, not shoot it down and dismiss it as something they didn’t intend to do. Own it! It’s part of the reason I still play Resident Evil, and I love those two characters to death!

And I’m with fuckyeahchrisandjill. I ship Valenfield, and nothing will ever change that. Especially not Kobayashi.

…Now I’m angry, damn it… :(

Because I’m so stupidly optimistic, I’m thinking they just said no to get people to stop talking about it until they reveal it later. xD Everyone’s been clamoring and, dare I say, nag-a-licious about it and I’m sure that’s grating on Capcom’s nerves a bit.

But I don’t believe it for one second! It’s the 15th Anniversary of Resident Evil! To only have half of the four main characters participate in the 15th Anniversary game is ridiculous. At the very least, I’m hoping for cameos or mentions. That would make me happy. And get Barry and Rebecca in there, darn it! >:[

It’s a good thing I like Chris so much, Capcom. xD I’ll be getting the game regardless of the possible inclusion of Jill and/or Claire, but it would be nice to have all four of them running around. Capcom could’ve replaced the newbies with them, I’m sure, and still have things work out fine. But we’ll just have to see how things shake out, I guess…

This makes me wonder if Capcom’s flat out denied a character being in a game before and then had them show up later… Google Ahoy! :D

Personally calling it right now…

This means one of two things.

That’s a ring around Chris’s neck. And it’s Jill’s. Or it’s a wedding/engagement ring that doesn’t fit for whatever reason. Or he doesn’t want to risk it falling off/getting lost, so it’s around his neck. It’s gotta mean something if it’s so blatantly shown. There’s something going on, and it better not be that they killed Jill off-screen (AGAIN). And I’m pretty sure he doesn’t wear jewelry in other games in the official costumes, so it has to be something. And the audio for the clip was cut. There has to be a reason for that too, other than ‘There is no audio for the clip.’ Chris and Piers may have been talking about Jill and it would’ve been a spoiler at E3 if the audio was played. :/

Either that, or it’s a memento from Claire. I’d be fine with this too, I guess (I hope she’s okay!), but I’m leaning more toward option one. Can’t wait to see who they reveal for Comic Con! (JILL JILL FREAKING JILL PLEASE?! But knowing Capcom, if she’s going to be revealed, it’ll be last.)

RE6 Rumors?

>Game officially takes place in 2013, although there is a flashback scene involving Leon

>Bald guy goes by the name of Eric Merc But it is heavily implied he is Alex Wesker and that’s just an alias

>Ada Wong is the “bitch” Chris is referring to in the trailer

>Jill is mentioned, does not make an appearance. It’s implied she either took a desk job or retired.

Reblogging just so I can eventually see if these rumors are just rumors. It’s pretty much TL;DR rambly speculative thoughts of mine provoked by the above rumors. Read if interested. If not, whatever. :P And beware, under the read more there may be spoilers, though I’ve tried to be vague about it. So if you don’t want to be spoiled or run the risk of being spoiled at all, wait til you’re done with Revelations (I’m not and don’t have my copy yet, but I got accidentally spoiled via Tumblr. Sad panda is me.)

Sooo…. if RE6 is supposedly 10 years after the Raccoon City Incident…

That means it’s a year before RE5 starts…. another prequel to RE5. :(

Which means that Jill won’t be in. But maybe in a flashback. I’m betting Chris will reference her quite a bit, since he seems like a sad panda in this game. (And what happened to his hair? Did he just stop brushing it in RE5 or something?)

Also, Sherry Birkin is the blonde with Alex Wesker?! WAY COOL! :D Though I wish they would’ve kept her identity secret… why must Capcom always give too much away? I love speculating and guessing (even if I’m wrong…) So if Sherry’s in this, I hope Claire gets in too (Actually I really hope she gets in, she deserves to). It would be super cool to see the reunion between Claire, Sherry and possibly Leon.

I’m just saying now, the game will be an instant buy for me if Barry, Rebecca, or Billy make cameos. Then we’d have most of the main characters as well as cameos from old favorites. :) I wish they’d come back in some form, even if we hear that they’re all dead (though I really don’t want that to happen either…)

RE6, Resident Evil 6, Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield, Sherry Birkin, Alex Wesker, speculation, don't shoot me,

So… many… video clips!

So I’m watching the IGN video clips now and thought I’d jot down some of my observations and opinions on it so far.

- I don’t know who on here said that Parker’s voice is like sex…. but it’s like sex. :P I wonder if it’s Chris’s VA, Roger Craig Smith, doing the voice, since he does do Ezio (and Ezio’s Italian…)

- Jill’s voice is alright. Michelle Ruff is doing a pretty good job so far. Almost sounds like the previous voice actress, except with a slight head cold or something. It’s got my approval anyway…

- Environments look absolutely gorgeous for the 3DS (but we knew that already).

- The Genesis device looks pretty useful. Might actually get a little more tense by having to use that. I don’t think you can ‘run and gun’ with it….

- The ‘zombies’ are called Ooze. Kind of an appropriate name for them…

- I have a feeling I’m going to jump whenever anyone says Mayday! in this game… so unnerving!

SPECULATION TIME!

Jessica is either….

- Jealous that Chris and Jill went through the horror of the mansion incident and she didn’t get to go with. (highly unlikely… but you never know)

- Jealous that Jill has a past with hunky Chris

or

- Jealous that Chris has a past with ~~hunky~~ awesome Jill.

…I’m interested in this greatly. But I sincerely hope there’s Valenfield in this. Swear to god. I don’t care if this is my second post within 10 minutes on the matter or if there’s 70 something more days til this comes out. VALENFIELD. WE CAN HAZ?!

Also, the one legged swimsuit thing is snazzy yet impractical. :)
